OUR STORY
Gruppo Antonini S.p.A. is a well-established industrial entity founded and managed by the Antonini family in the La Spezia area. It has undergone a significant rationalization of its operational resources following the corporate merger of the family’s historical companies in 2016.
THE FORTIES
GRUPPO ANTONINI WAS BORN
Founded in La Spezia in 1943 by Walter Antonini, the company initially focused on the repair of metal structures damaged by the bombings of World War II.
THE FIFTIES
FIRST INDUSTRIAL PLANTS
In the 1950s, the Antonini family began integrating medium steelworking activities, later expanding to heavy steelworking and eventually to the assembly of industrial plants.
THE SIXTIES
ENTRANCE INTO ENI
Following the meeting between Walter Antonini and Enrico Mattei, CEO of ENI, the company began manufacturing parts for oil platforms, eventually progressing to the full construction of these platforms. After establishing itself as a partner of ENI, the family entered the industrial sector as a supplier of offshore structures and oil platform installations in 1963.
THE SEVENTIES
ACQUISITION OF BAIA DI PERTUSOLA
In the late 1970s, Walter Antonini, supported by his son Claudio, decided to invest in acquiring a coastal area to expand the production chain. They purchased a beach area in the Bay of Pertusola (Gulf of La Spezia).
THE NINETIES
ENTRANCE IN THE NAVAL SECTOR
At the new production site, the Antonini family began constructing and repairing large commercial vessels for third parties, as well as carrying out transportation and installation of the structures manufactured for offshore sites.
2020
ANTONINI NAVI WAS BORN
In 2020, the Antonini family began investing in the promising superyacht market, founding the Antonini Navi brand together with Aldo Manna, partner and current Sales Director, with the aim of creating custom yachts for a growing global clientele.
