
Sampling Sistems
Sampling systems, both for Gas and Liquids, are among the major activities of OGM Ltd., in addition to a long experience in supplying Analysis and Treatment Systems.
OGM can provide simple manual sample systems as well as rapid sampling systems or mixed solutions: as a system integrator, it can also provide densimeters and analyzers for a complete sampling solution.
Systems are designed to meet the international engineering standards and metrological compliance required by the customer. Some standards and guidelines applied are ATEX, PED, ISO 10715, ISO 3171, ASTM D4177, EEMUA 138, DECC Version 8.
Sampling Devices
Cell Sampler
The Maurer ™ cell sampler is designed to be installed in a by-pass spool of the line to be sampled. The sampler includes an integrated flow cell with a sampling mechanism. Having the sampler in a bypass rather than directly online offers advantages for the integrity, reliability and maintenance of the system.
There are two variants of this fluid sampler: electrically powered (ES11) and pneumatic powered (MCS31).
Insertion samplers
The Maurer ™ insertion sampler is designed for direct connection to a 2" pipe nozzle or to fit a full bore flanged root valve, installed on the main line to be sampled. The sampler stem has an orifice through which the sampling mechanism periodically collects a sample of 1cc.
The power of this sampler (ES50) is electrical.
The sampler is essentially a dosing pump. The sampling mechanism is a tubular stem with a concentric catching tube and a piston. Each cycle first captures a precise sample volume then pumps it through a backpressure valve to a sampling receiver. The main use is to sample crude oils and associated production fluids such as NGL and refined products, for the measurement of water content, volatile products, density and sulphides, as an example.
Analysis Systems
OGM Designs and builds on-line and off-line process analysis systems, mainly for the industries in the Oil & Gas and Refining field.
Solutions offered by OGM include both liquid and gas applications.
